Here we have a very rare Hardy 3 3/8″ Perfect in the contracted ( Narrow Drum) model. The model was only made for around one year in 1897/1898. Reel has original white handle, straight brass foot, brass bridged rim tensioner, early 1896 check mechanism and Rod in Hand and straight line logos stamped to faceplate. Very minor line grooves to one pillar. The reel turns without any hesitation or tight spots. OFW neatly stamped to the faceplate. A very rare reel. One for the collector.
