Here we have a fine example of a later Hardy Silex reel, featuring a rim-mounted black brake lever, smooth ribbed brass foot, twin black handles and a two-screw quick-release drum latch. As you can see, the reel has hardly been used but please note there is a section of the rim (approx 2″) where the enamel has been worn away (see images)
