Vintage wooden coarse fisherman’s seatbox + floats & tackle, 1940-50

An interesting vintage wooden coarse fisherman’s seatbox dating c1940-50s, measuring 13” by 16” by 10” with an oilskin padded fitted top cushion. With a canvas carry strap, the hinged lid opens to show a fitted interior, someone has spent a lot of time & thought putting this box together. A varied range of floats including cork body, quill, balsa etc are located on the underside of the lid. Inside the mainframe 14 alloy screw-top tubs holding accessories are located with a leather strap to the upper section & various tackle beneath. This is a great time capsule seatbox bringing back memories of how it all happened in the post-war era, great display piece, still useable, we love it!
