J S Sharpe of Aberdeen Scottie by Dingley 4″ bright finish vintage Silex pattern casting reel

A rare J S Sharpe of Aberdeen The Scottie by Dingley antique Silex pattern casting reel. Very few of these Scottie-named models appear, even rarer in this bright or Spitfire factory finish.  4” diameter 42mm across the frame. Quick release brass drum button, factory twin white handles, replacement matching drum brake handle. Correct 85mm smooth brass foot. Copper pillar drum core. the frame is internally stamped D for Dingley. Loud check clicker sound in both directions. The reel works well and is a good addition to any Silex-themed collection.
