TT opinion: A fine and rare Hardy The Palakona, 7’6″ two-piece split cane bamboo fly rod #6 in fine condition. Rod No L/o, J3055, dating it to 1968. Honey colour cane, the guides whipped cherry red-tipped green. Bronze ferrule with wood stopper. Keeper ring. 9.5″ shaped cork handle with light alloy reel fittings and butt cap. A stunning little rod, 100% original, straight and with a good tight ferrule. It’s a little beauty for streams, rivers and lakes trout and grayling. Comes in the maker’s original fitted cloth bag.
