Another fine and extremely rare Hardy Perfect from a 120+ Hardy reel collection just purchased by Thomas Turner. This reel represents the first model all alloy contracted ( narrow drum) reel made in circa 1899 with original white handle, rod in hand, straight line logo and enclosed oval logo and brass straight foot. Waisted alloy pillars, brass ball bearings in open design ball race. Perforated spool with large and small perforations. Ten small cusps to the spool. No drum rock, or black. Another excellent example. Finish worn, a superb and very rare reel.
