This model was started in 1902 and ran until 1917 when the bridge over the rim tensioner was stopped and the reel made ‘without bridge’ over the tensioner until around 1921. Reel is in lovely condition, turns without any knocks or drum / faceplate rock. Four cusps to the spool and 1905 check mechanism, 75mm brass foot ( not filed). Original white handle. A great looking reel ready to use or one to collect….. or both!

The Hardy Perfect fly reel was introduced in 1892. It took three years of testing and research to bring it to perfection. The regulating check mechanism and running on ball bearings ensure it’s almost frictionless. A narrow drum core allows increased line capacity over large barrel reels.
