TT opinion: Here we have an extremely rare Hardy 3 1/8″ Perfect trout fly reel with very rarely seen drum with early style large and small perforations, four cusps to spool and milled nickel silver drum locking screw. Original white handle, straight alloy foot, strapped brass rim tension regulator and 1906 calliper sprung check mechanism. The reel has two alloy pillars and one brass pillar. The interior cage has been drilled with bands of large and small perforations to reduce the weight of the reel. Faceplate stamped with central circular logo. A very rare model.
