TT opinion: A good example of the iconic Hardy Palakona split cane rod range. This 9’6″ two piece example was built in 1963 and retailed through Powell of Birmingham with a gold oval transfer to the butt section. Line rate #5. Burgundy close whipped bronze lock fast ferrule with polished alloy stopper. 7″ shaped cork handle, up screw reel fitting with black rubber button. The rod fishes well, a traditional mid or wet fly action and comes in makers cloth bag
