TT opinion: A fine and rare Hardy The Palakona, 7’6″ two-piece split cane bamboo fly rod with a line rating #5 in mint condition – Inscribed with Hardy details and ‘Klaus Hofmann 5/89’. Honey colour cane, the guides whipped in burgundy and tipped in orange. Silver ferrules and keeper ring. 7″ shaped cork handle with bronze anodised reel fittings. 100% original, straight and with a good tight ferrule. It’s a little beauty for streams, rivers and lakes trout and grayling. Comes in the maker’s original fitted blue cloth bag.
