TT opinion: This is the largest of the Hardy Marquis alloy fly fishing reel range. The Salmon No3 is a wide drum with, large capacity reel for big lines and backing.Black finish being the later of the models ( the silver finish spools will also fit). Both the reel and the spare spool have been fitted with genuine Hardy nickle counterbalance weights transforming the balance of the reel allowing it to spin smooth and taking out the usual wobble created by a single handle reel. 54mm across the frame. Correct 62mm ribbed brass foot fitting all rods. Metal internal check can be changed quickly to fish left or right hand wind. Both reel and spool retain most original finish. No faults, mechanically 100% and comes with spool rear plug and Hardy zip padded case
