TT opinion: This is the middle size in the Hardy Marquis Salmon alloy fly reel range. The Salmon No2 is a medium width drum with a large capacity reel for big lines and backing. The black finish spool face being the later of the models ( the silver finish spools will also fit).The reel has been fitted with genuine Hardy nickle counterbalance weight transforming the balance of the reel allowing it to spin smoothly taking out the usual wobble created by a single handle reel. 43mm across the frame. Correct 64mm ribbed brass foot fitting all rods. Metal internal check can be changed quickly to fish left or right hand wind. This reel has seen very little use and retains most original finish. No faults, mechanically 100% and comes with Hardy zip padded reel case
