TT opinion:
A stunning Hardy Halford Knockabout Palakona 9ft 6”, two-piece split cane fly rod in best collector condition. Rod No. B/S built c 1969. Honey colour cane with guided whipped olive gold tipped black, Bronze lock fast ferrule with wood stopper and keeper ring. 8.5″ shaped cork handle, black reel seat and polished-up screw reel fitting. The butt cap collar unscrews to remove and reverse the spike which you use to stand the rod in the ground whilst changing a fly, tippet etc. preventing it from being stood on or damaged. The rod is factory original and in super condition. Line rated #7 it makes a good all-round trout or sea trout rod for both lake and river. The rod comes with its original Hardy cloth bag.
