TT opinion: One of a number of rare Hardy Bougles just in from a private collection of over 120 Hardy reels. Here we have a very rare Hardy Bougle 1912 with raised pillars, one brass roller, original handle, rim tensioner, smooth alloy foot and 1912 check mechanism. Heavily perforated drum to make the reel as light as possible. The reel weighs 135 grams. The reel turns without any lumps or bumps. Turns with a nice crisp sound. Made around the 1920s. Extremely rare.
