An extremely rare large sized 4 3/4″ Hardy Salmon Perfect reel with the rare iconic 1912 check mechanism and revolving line guard. Reel has original white handle, brass bridged rim tension regulator, 97mm brass straight foot and all parts stamped ‘1’. The line guide revolves freely and is not tight. It is stamped ‘HARDYS PAT’. There are four cusps to the spool. The reel is very lightly stamped MC to the faceplate and is free from any cracks and fractures and is a superb rare example in this large size. This is the only 4 3/4″ 1912 Salmon Perfect I have seen. The reel turns without any tight spots and is ready to fish!
