TT opinion: In superb condition the LL series by David Norwich rarely surfaces to the market. The vast majority of these rods went to Japan. Very few to America. “LL” was a shortening of Long Lift. Two LL series were made – The LL with dark heat treated swelled butt tapers and the Cane Spirit series, a traditional honey color light heat treated model. Rods could be had with an impregnated or varnished finish. This original rod is beautifully presented, extremely light and straight in Hardy green cloth rod bag.
