TT opinion: A fine selection of three antique little dry fly reels. A Carter and Sons, 137 St John St, London 2.5″ ebonite reel with German silver rims and smooth crisp check clicker. Brass spool, face plate, pillars and correct foot blade. Super little reel dating c 1900, with a small scratch to the backplate, (not cracked). A Malloch of Perth, Scottish 3″ alloy narrow drum fly reel with white handle. It winds smoothly with a lovely check clicker, and finally an Army & Navy, London Hercules pattern 3.5″ alloy fly reel with raised front check housing. Tapered white handle, alloy drum, brass pillars, and foot blade. It winds smooth with a positive check click. Three great antique reels, all can be fished and will enhance any collection.
