Fine C. Farlow & Co. 191 Strand, London, black japanned reservoir box, the lid marked “Sir Malcolm McAlpine, 1944.” The box measures 10” x 7” x 2.5”. Hinged lid with clasp & external leather strap, opens to reveal a cream lacquer interior & Farlow brass label. The four lift-out trays are filled with a collection of vintage salmon flies up to 2” long, all steel-eyed. Flies are of various patterns including a few double hook models. This is a fine historical piece for any collector.
