TT opinion: A pair of Chas Farlow, Maker, 191 Strand London all brass plate wind salmon and grilse fly reels. 4.5″ and 3.5″ in diameter. Both with factory white handles, single screw face plate fixing, and script engraved backplates with maker’s details. Both reels have the Farlow salmon logo stamped to the foot blade. Both have a nice crisp check clicker. They turn smooth and definitely still fishable, which is amazing considering they are over 100 years old. Fish or collect a good antique Farlow of Lonon pair of reels.
