Redditch Tackle Fair 2021 report

With excitement in the air, we loaded the car with tackle goodies and headed out to the Redditch tackle fair. 
It’s been two years since the last one and who could have predicted the events that would change all our lives. 

Organiser John Andrews was his usual calm efficient self. I suspect it’s a bit of the swan syndrome, serene on top, a maelstrom underneath. We thank him for his efforts.

Happily, one thing remains the same: the joy of collecting.

Our large tackle display attracted a regular stream of customers, old and new, throughout the day.

We were buying steadily too, some customers prearranging appointments for us to view and buy, others simply appeared at the stall. The general atmosphere was joyous.

After lunch John Bailey joined us, meeting and chatting to visitors and anglers alike and sharing their fishing experiences. Later John and I set about a video filming session with the various collectors and craftsman. We had such a laugh we ran out of time to include the many stall holders at the event. The videos will be on the TT website shortly. 

We have already agreed to have a further video sessions at the May 2022 fair, and we hope to see you there!
