In ‘case’ you were wondering… The Peter Wheat collection keeps getting better

I had a call to visit Peter Wheat last week the day before he went into to a nursing home. I helped him clear his flat and came away with another car full of interesting items from his collection. A few special items stayed with Peter.

We now have close to 1000 PW items across a multitude of interests related to fishing. Cooper cased fish, BB (Denys Watkins Pritchard) and BV (Bernard Venables original artwork and books, a selection of rods including a rare Mk IV Stepped Up Carp rod by Captain Croydon. Peter entrusted us with some 30 box files of documentation/photographs/articles/content much of which has great importance from a historical perspective. His attention to detail is quite remarkable.

We anticipate launching the sale of the collection in early September but as a sample of the delights to come please see below.
