An Addiction to Tackle Buying

(post) An Addiction to Tackle Buying

It’s been another excellent buying week and Dave will be busy with listing some cracking tackle over the next few days/weeks. One purchase came from a regular customer of ours who was becoming concerned he was addicted to buying fishing tackle (I know the feeling). He thought it was about time to downsize!

A quick trip round the M25 resulted in. the purchase of over 100 rods and a similar quantity of reels.  Mainly modern mint Hardy but a good sprinkling of other makes such as Sage and Pezon et  Michel.  Some great centrepins from J W Young plus a superb Hardy ‘spoon’ net. Also some great light dry fly split cane rods. 75% good saleable stock for TT and some destined for other markets and charities.

As I write this Dave has just concluded a nice buy of Hardy Smugglers in leather cases and 15 reels including Ari T Hart.

Great TT stock.

I am reducing my own collection and Carrie will be posting copy of an article I wrote for the excellent Classic Angling magazine about the late master carver Nick Podolsky on the TT site. I will shortly be listing some of these for sale including a unique carving of a Milkfish caught in the Seychelles. Not quite Fochabers perhaps but wonderful carvings nevertheless and at a much lesser cost.

Look out for the new listings and as always part exchanges welcome.

Many thanks for your support and interest.
