TT Opinion:
Here we have a lovely and rare traditional willow creel measuring approximately 12” x 9” x 7”. It features a decorative half–oval shaped lid on brass hinge, straight bar with brass O-shaped carrying hinges, pot-bellied form, and a measure to the underside of the wooden lid. The creel also retains its original wooden internal seat. Although the leather carrying strap is missing, the creel remains an excellent example of its type. We’ve seen many fine creels over the years, and this is certainly one of them.
