Antique folding salmon gaff, the Sir Herbert Maxwell Bart model, retailed by Farlow’s & others. Dates c 1900-10. 19” polished wood shaft with nickel socket & spring fold device to a 17.5” nickel plated hand-finished steel gaff hook. When folded it sits into a handle recess for safety, this is a rare gaff & even rarer with nickel fittings. Super collectors’ item for display.
