TT opinion: An extremely rare Richard Carter ‘The Dragonfly’ centrepin reel. Richard Carter was appointed official reel maker to the Golden Scale Club and Richard designed these reels and others with the input of the famous Bernard Venables and Chris Yates; it was joint talks with Yates that helped make the Dragonfly. A beautifully made smooth centre reel that allows perfect rotation of the spool, giving an overall fine presentation when trotting on moving rivers.
