TT opinion: A rare Ogden Smith, London England The Selectos, 3-3/4” silex pattern alloy spinning reel in fine collector condition.36mm across frame, factory rim ¼ cut out, button release to crackle finish drum pace. Correct 75mmm smooth foot blade, matching handles and brake trigger knob. Internal spring operated check system, adjusted by a rotating lever on the backplate. Internally one of the check parts is stamped Prov Pat 17431. Rare and in fine condition date c 1940’s a great reel for any collection.
