TT opinion: A fine antique Moscrop of Manchester Patent hollow spindle fly reel with makers medallion logo to the backplate. 3.5″ diameter reel with shaped polished horn handle, brake tension adjuster to ventilated drum. Correct 72mm smooth brass foot stamped J B Moscrop Manchester & JE MILLER to front face. The reel retains most original black on brass finish. It turns free and the brake works. A fine Patent brake reel for the collector.
