J Bernard, Maker, Church Place, Piccadilly, London 3-3/4” antique ebonite and brass salmon fly reel with brass rims and pillars dating c 1870/80. Polished horn handle, makers details script engraved to the faceplate, Smooth check clicker, the foot has been neatly filed many years ago to one end at the sides to fit a modern rod. Filled with its old silk fly line, this is a stunning London reel by one of the best makers.
