A rare J Bernard, Maker, Church Place, Piccadilly, London 4” antique brass salmon fly reel. The backplate stamped R. Heaton’s Patent 3250 with raised spindle boss. Polished horn handle, makers details script engraved to the faceplate. Smooth check clicker and retaining most original bronzing. Comes with another Bernard Reel in 3.5” diameter. Polished brass finish, the check is very loud. Filing to foot and small nick on the backplate, but it’s a second reel for free really as the first one is the rare collectors model
