Hardy The Masterpiece 10ft in length greenheart and split cane pike fishing rod built 1934-52, few of these ever turn up making this a good collectors rod greenheart butt, split cane Palakona middle and tip sections clear agate butt and tip rings ,low bridge intermediates burgundy heavy close whippings lockfast bronze ferrules with rosewood stoppers, 20″ shaped cork handle, sliding screw upper reel fitting and alloy 6 screw hardy Universal Reg lower fitting, bras butt cap stamped G13194. Needs some attention to the later added whippings over the top of the original.

This item is part of the late Gary Brooker MBE collection. Famed for his lead in the pop group Procul Harum shooting to fame with the iconic single Whiter Shade of Pale launched in 1967. He was appointed an MBE in 2003. A Whiter Shade of Pale was honored by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 sadly with Gary passing in February 2022 at the age of 76. All the items in this collection were bought by Thomas Turner from his widow Francoise (Frankie) assisted by Peter Cockwill in June 2022. A unique piece of musical history for any fishing tackle collector.
