TT opinion: A rare and fine Hardy “The Continental Special” 8’6”, 2-piece Palakona cane fly rod in as new condition for line #6. Staggered ferrule model with cane ferrule plug insert to protect the tip section whilst in the bag. Post-numbered rod. Lined butt ring, low bridge intermediates whipped in black-tipped green colour. A very attractive rod. Bronze suction ferrule, keeper ring. 10” shaped cork handle with shrink wrap, light alloy screw reel fitting. A stunning and rare rod. The cane is straight, 100% original & has seen little if any use, comes in the maker’s original fitted cloth bag.
