TT opinion: A good early Hardy St John alloy fly reel with the lead finish. Factory original throughout, 3 screw drum latch with black handle. 75mm smooth brass foot and working rim tension adjuster. The reel winds smooth and well, with no drum rock or play. There is a small hairline crack to the rim. Fishable today and is a fine addition to any Hardy collection. These Alnwick-built reels are a testament to the Hardy reel makers’ skills. Considering its c80 years old it’s as good today as the day it was made and will give a lifetime of service if looked after. Ideal for rods 10-13′ such Hardy Palakona, Triumph, Wye, Hollokona, etc will not only work well but look good too.

** All rods and reels include 12 months warranty only from Thomas Turner. Subject to T&Cs.**
