TT opinion: A fine vintage Hardy St George 3″ alloy trout or grayling fly reel. Hand built in Alnwick, England. 3 screw drum latch, black handle, good smoke agate line guide, very feint hairline crack to side of agate, doesn’t affect use. No drum rock or play. Working rim tensioner and complete internal check system. Correct 62mm ribbed brass foot. The reel retains a good factory paint finish with only light wear commensurate with use. An iconic Hardy reel with makers card box.
