TT opinion: A rare vintage Hardy Silex Major 4-1/4” alloy casting reel with factory brass Auxiliary Brake. 45mm across the alloy frame. Twin black handles, button spool release. Correct 100mm ribbed brass foot, white brake lever handle knob. The backplate is internally stamped RMS. The tension regulator turns smooth and works well. The reel spins true and a fine example for any Hardy Silex collector.
