TT opinion: A vintage Hardy Perfection Palakona 9ft 6″ 2 piece split cane trout fly rod, No 8442B dating it to c1918. Green whipped intermediates, with snake guide, the last guide near the ferrule on butt section missing. Shaped work handle with screw alloy reel fittings bearing the Hardy details. Nice early example with a light set to tip but worth a little restoration to make it good to fish. Comes in makers cloth bag
