TT opinion: This is a fine Hardy Marquis alloy fly fishing reel. The Salmon No 1 is a narrow drum with a large line capacity. 3-7/8″ diameter, 36mm across the frame, internal metal check. Can be fished left or right-hand wind. Comes with a #9 shooting head line, plus a spare spool fitted with Wf9 line & backing and two Hardy zip padded cases. Its in good original condition. Still one of the best traditional Alnwick built fly reels
