TT opinion: This is a fine Hardy Marquis alloy fly fishing reel. The Salmon No 1 is a narrow drum with a large line capacity. 3-7/8″ diameter, 36mm across the frame, counter-balanced spools & internal metal check. Can be fished left or right-hand wind. Comes with Hardy DT8S line & backing, plus a spare spool fitted with Jet Dry Fly DT-9 line & backing, comes with 1 Hardy zip padded case. Its in good original condition. Still one of the best traditional Alnwick built fly reels
