Notes:

A fine Hardy Hercules 2 3/4″ (The measurement is 68mm – 2.67in) brass trout fly reel with white handle, raised check winding plate with Rod in Hand and Oval logo trademark. Constant check, triple caged pillar with some line grooves to a pillar, steel locking screw and nice original finish. When turned backwards the cog engages the pawl slightly causing it to stick but wound forward and then backwards again relieves this. Circa 1895. A lovely early piece of Hardy history.
