TT opinion: A fine and rare Hardy Hercules 3.75″ brass trout fly reel hand built in Alnwick by master reel makers. It is in factory original condition. A beautiful reel, amazing quality, and over 120 years old it can still be fished today. The winding plate is stamped “Hardy Bros., Makers, Alnwick” in oval logo, correct white handle and smooth check clicker. Correct 94mm slotted brass foot, original pillars and screws. This is a stunning example retaining most original bronze finish. It will be ideal to fish with greenheart and split cane rods of the same era, both of which we have in stock.
