TT opinion: This rod has come from the Belfast collection of 101 Hardy rods and reels. It was purchased c 1998-2001 from J Braddell of Belfast, Established in 1811. This is a brand new, never fished Hardy Deluxe Smuggler Classic 8-piece carbon trout fly rod for line #6. Shrink wrap with Hardy labels to the underside of the handle, burgundy blank, guides whipped burgundy tipped red, spigot ferrules. Wood spacer and gold anodised screw reel fitting. Fabulous travel rod for trout or grayling fly fishing. Brand new old shop stock, a rare rod today. Comes with the original maker’s cloth bag, Hardy hang tag and Hardy zip top Cordura tube with adjustable carry sling.
