TT opinion: A vintage Hardy Conquest Centrepin trotting reel in 4 1/4” diameter with factory bright finish spool. Two screw quick release latch, correct smooth alloy foot and backplate on/off check clicker button. A graduated dial scale operated the drag tension adjuster. Reel runs true and well, fitted with line guide, currently for left-hand wind, can be moved to right. The reel retains most original finish except for a minor area of wear to back plate and slight flat spot to one area of rim approx 1/2 inch long. It spins straight and well. Circa 1950s.
