Here we have a fine and very rare Hardy Altex ‘Ducks Foot Upturned’ fixed spool reel. The upturn foot is believed to be earlier than the down turn foot model making this around 1932. The reel is in excellent original condition with fixed stationary handle, fully working snap back alloy bail arm and stamped with ‘PATENT APPLIED FOR’, ‘MARK I’ and Hardy details. These reels do not appear that often. Extremely rare.
