An early Dave Swallow 4.5” dia. alloy trotting reel in excellent condition. Twin tapered black handles, finger holes to front plate. Three screw front hum and cross hatching to rim. Brass dismount screw to backplate. Brass rivetted correct 61mm foot blade, backplate engraved” The Swallow Centre Pin, Custom tackle Man’f, Ringwood, Hants” with engraved swallow motif. ‘Pete Hunter’ engraved to rear plate. The reel runs smooth and well, no alterations, damage or chips and retains virtually all original finish. Super reels for barbel, chub carp and pike.
