A Carter of 11 South Moulton St, London 3.5” wide drum vintage alloy salmon fly reel. White handle and large nickel coin slot drum screw to faceplate. Rim tension adjuster, 60mm smooth brass foot blade, secured by 3 screws. Perforated flat faceplate, the reel internally has twin V spring checks and ball bearing spindle, like the Hardy perfect reels. A good example. From the early 1900s’ Occasional slight knock when the reel is turned, probably needs a tweak of the springs , but very useable as is and good collector example
