TT opinion: An early C Farlow & Co. 191 Strand, London large line winder or drier. 12” collapsible brass frame with locking bar stamped with makers details, 1 crossbar needs re-riveted in place, cast steel yolk, 13” polished wood handle with brass fittings. The lower reel ring is cracked, worth a little TLC, a fabulous looking dryer & if fitted with a brass reel and line would make an attractive display set.
