Just arrived with a fine collection of cane rods this pretty unique one off custom made two piece cane rod by B James & Sons London, England. With long cork handle and sliding reel fittings, onion shaped handle and judging by the rings, overall length, nickel sliver ferrule and generous rubber button, I’d say it’s a made to order salmon spinning rod. This might account for SSIII. Salmon Spinner 3 -a bit like the three or four strengths of Hardy LRH salmon spinning rods? OR a fine Carp stalking rod? Its in excellent condition and a one off example I think we can say? Let us know if you know anything about this rod please. Complete with original rod bag.
