Antique Pot Bellie Leather Creel Important Historical Angling History Circa 1800 EX RARE

Here we have a very early example of a black leather pot bellied fisherman’s creel with brass circular rotating clasp clip to front with brass pin locking over strap. The lid is very attractively embossed with flower type decorative design. The leather backing is coming away at each side so needs some careful TLC. Measures 30cm x 14cm x 15cm max depth. Circa 1800. A fine and very important little historical leather creel.
