Sportfish Valuation Day – Saturday 26th April 2025

This Saturday, 26^th April 2025 you will find us at our eighth Sportfish Valuation Day. Held at the Sportfish Game Fishing Centre, Haywards Farm, Theale, Reading, RG7 4AS. Located just a few minutes off junction 12 of the M4 its easy to find with good parking and refreshments.

Dave Townsend and his son Will, will be at the store from 10am to 3pm to value or buy your antique, vintage, or classic fishing tackle.

We will be in the main room above the tackle shop which can be accessed up the stairs to the outside of the building. You will find us there with our distinctive banner.

We enjoy meeting and chatting to customers old and new and there’s nothing like picking up a rod or spinning a reel. Sportfish is always one of our favourite valuation days, a beautiful location and fantastic friendly team! It always brings various collectors along to discuss tackle old and new, swap information and of course sell to us as well as offering free valuations.

We have never bought as much top quality, pre-owned, usable tackle, as we have in the last six months. These are the type of rods and reels we are continually looking to purchase.  We are looking to buy your pre-owned usable Hardy Bougles, Cascapedias and Perfects as well as the line-up of Centrepins in excellent pre owned condition by Garry Mills, Browning, Chris Lythe, JW Youngs, Richard Carter and Paul Witcher to name a few. Also, travel rods in their cordura cases or tubes by Sage, Orvis, Lamson, Loop, Guideline, Thomas & Thomas. We are always looking to buy the classic cane Avon and Carp rods by B James. Remember, condition is everything.
