TT opinion: This is a fine example of a rarely seen Allcocks of Redditch Tarquin dry fly rod. I have attached a copy of the 1960’s catalogue giving the description. This is the 8’6″ two-piece model, listed as a fast action dry fly rod. Light colour split cane with cherry red whippings, bronze suction ferrule with alloy stopper. 7.5″ cork handle with keeper ring. Allcock’s patent Holdwell screw alloy reel fitting. A good straight little rod, it has not seen much use at all. line rate #4/5 and comes in makers original cloth bag
