TT opinion:

Sharpe’s of Aberdeen for Farlow “The Eighty Eight” 8’8”, 2-piece impregnated cane trout fly rod, staggered ferrule model. Butt section designed 4” shorter than the tip to improve action, burgundy whipped guides, lacking butt ring, snake intermediates, line rate #5/6, part of makers transfers missing. 10.5” cork handle with screw reel fitting. Lovely straight rod, light to handle, and ideal for rivers and small lakes. Once the replacement butt ring is fitted it will be lovely to fish. Comes in the maker’s original bag.
